Attorneys at Law is pleased to participate in the 23rd World Energy
Congress taking place in Istanbul, Turkey between the dates 9-13 October, 2016.
The theme of the Congress is “Embracing
new frontiers” in order to achieve sustainable, affordable and reliable energy
for all. In that regard, a specific emphasis is put on 1.1 billion people who
have no access to electricity, about half live in Africa[1]. In fact, during the last
day of the Congress, panels will specifically focus on the matter, with the theme “Africa:
Securing a Sustainable Energy Future”.
During the first two days of the
Congress, the speakers often underlined the importance of enacting legal
policies that drive innovation in the energy sector and the role of governments.
More importantly, the significance of international cooperation regarding the
energy policies was often repeated in order to combat climate change together
and to ensure all people will access to sustainable, affordable and reliable energy.
The Congress
hosts top-level participants including world leaders as well as many
influential speakers from all around the world. It is a unique occasion for
sectoral actors to explore business opportunities and to exhibit their
technologies and know-how.
